Programs
Named after a song bird that prevails in Israel, the Efroni Choir was founded in 1981 in Emek-Hefer (Heffer Valley) by Mrs. Maya Shavit, who served for over thirty years as the artistic director and conductor of this representative choir. Throughout its 39 years, the choir has achieved impressive achievements, and is today considered one of the leading children's and youth choirs in Israel. In September 2017, Mrs. Shelly Berlinsky was appointed choir conductor.
Listening, tolerance and contributing to the community are some of the core values that the Efroni Choir has been promoting, driven by the belief that poetry is a force that connects people and forms a bridge between cultures. We initiate and hold musical encounters between populations with special needs and the choir singers, at which we can see the partitions between these groups and their people fall away leaving nothing, but pure heart-to-heart music.
Shows for children and the whole family

If I suddenly meet a lion
A show for the little ones following the successful album

Animal poems by beloved Israeli poets, about lions, flies and rabbits, familiar and new melodies for poems and stories by: Leah Goldberg, Mirik Snir, Nurit Zarhi, Miriam Yellen-Shteklis, Shira Geffen and more.
Inbal loves all animals, so she collected poems that poets had written about animals and came up with melodies for them. Then came Tal, who plays the piano exceptionally well. Tal also came up with a second voice for each melody, and for this they invited the Lark Choir. And along with the choir came another guest – Shelly, the conductor.

Songs from the hat
In children's songs, the hat symbolizes an opening to the worlds of imagination. Wearing the hat transforms us into everything we wanted and everything we will want, so it is no wonder that many writers and poets have used the "hat" motif as a bridge to worlds beyond reality.
A new production by the Young Lark Choir brings songs and stories from the hat centered on the possibility of change and the opportunity for a new beginning.
A show for the whole family, especially suitable for performances in elementary schools.
Directed by: Chen Eliya

On repeat
A performance of educational television songs
Tamar, a child of the 80s, is sick. She is forced to stay home and not go to school. The bored Tamar calls her mother who suggests that she, as is tradition, turn on the TV and watch the educational TV programs. From that moment on, a real party begins in Tamar's room as the characters come out of the screen and join the celebration.
Kishkashta, Pistachio, Dudley, Marco, the Kataktims, the children from the Haim neighborhood, and all the heroes of educational television from the 70s and 80s come together for a nostalgic hour full of smiles.

Around the world
Years of traveling to festivals abroad and to distant regions have made folk songs an integral part of the Lark's repertoire. The show "Around the World" is a true celebration of vocal folklore, with wonderful songs we have collected from around the globe and sung in their original languages, from the Hawaiian Islands to the jungles of Africa, from Scandinavia to the Far East, from South America to New Zealand.
In an era of globalization, the "Around the World" concert provides a rare glimpse into musical cultures, some of which are in danger of disappearing.
Artistic direction and conducting: Shelly Berlinsky
Percussion: Daniel Solomon
Piano: Zhanna Koplev

It's already Saturday.
A special collaboration between the Lark Choir and the "Talmus" acapella quartet resulted in a performance that brings together a large and surprising selection of Shabbat songs from different traditions and distant lands. The special atmosphere of Shabbat will also be felt in the connecting words of Oded Shomroni, a lecturer at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
The show is very suitable for Shabbat receptions and Friday afternoon concerts and is intended for an audience of youth and adults.
